God had enlightened me the other day with His infinite wisdom about a particular subject I myself over years of pining and subjugating to understand has finally laid itself before me. Before I reveal the discussion I first want to thank the Lord for helping me recognize so many blessings. This was the catalyst to what I am about to reveal, how we are supposed to separate the world from God and separate the knowledge of man from the wisdom of God by only putting our trust and faith in the Lord. He had through patience held me to realize His wisdom is divine and just. This did not just come to me over night in a dream or a morning walk, it took years of arguing with God asking why am I still in this situation; this low-income job persisting that my efforts were just. But I realized God knew better for me, He knew strength at heart and mind required patience and it was so. This changed how I prayed, so in return I prayed not to praise my kingdom, but to praise His only.
When a situation changes in God’s creation everyone adapts a philosophy. It doesn’t matter the situation, whether your child getting into a prestigious college or an earthquake killing thousands in a country far from your home. There are two ways that sum up looking at how situations come to completion. The first one is the worldly view which has many faces such as cynicism, optimism, new age movement, transhumanism, and futurism. There’re still many which I know I may have missed, I am no expert on this, and I am sure new ideas will come about. These are the ideas of man, of sinners who have no idea the difference between right or wrong. Yes, these ideas try to describe the situation and make it better, but man forgets it has no concept of right or wrong…so whatever man attempts to do there will always be a consequence. Then afterwards we would have to forgive one another for those actions of being a sinner if we even accepted that.
Second view, is the righteous view by waiting on the Lord. Instead of relying solely on worldly philosophical ideologies to fix a situation we must have hope in the Lord only. Exactly what would this hope look like or resemble?
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
This verse tells us that hope is separate from the future, it is now.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
This verse tells that God not only is peace and joy, but is hope…and believing in the Lord you shall have hope.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5
Now, the hardest part about hope is enduring the patience, the mental and physical sufferings and anxieties that come with it. No one dares endure this life of love.I had difficulties trusting Gods love after being betrayed by friends and by notions of truth from education. No one dares consider calling that a loving God, when remote and the emotions become a callous shell around the heart. I had let myself become deceived, first falling into cynicism, then new ageism and futurism. Optimism had seemed to be the perfect solution to happiness, to see the better outcome no matter how horrible the situation. But God had shown me it too was a worldly ideology, a false truth so to say – I was still let down every time at every turn, and from anybody I sought help. Not because all people sought to use me, but because we are sinners and know not the difference between right and wrong – this has become our natural law to rebel, and yet God is asking for us to make it new again, as it was once before a natural moral law – this is why a conscious choice to obey Gods universal morals, morals that make us feel guilt will always be engraved in our heart. Understand that if God created nature, its laws, and its ecosystems perfectly, systems we can clearly observe, why would He not do the same with His likeness – human beings. But instead man ignores the natural order and law of its being plaguing the human mind with worldly ideologies trying to understand morality and creation, mudding the waters. The clear notion of hope has become lost and intertwined with optimism.
Those who have hope know that on Gods terms and time, things will change. Things may be built, and things may be destroyed, but all things are beautiful.
